Transruler is an application designed to assist users in comprehending, displaying, and performing a wide array of musical scales with ease. The app facilitates the process of transposition by offering a user-friendly interface and various functionalities.
Upon opening Transruler, users are presented with three rulers. The central ruler encompasses all tones and semitones, while the top and bottom rulers allow users to select specific scales for display. Each ruler can be adjusted independently, granting users flexibility in setting the key note.
Playing music is made simple through Transruler's intuitive features. Users can produce a single note with a single tap and trigger all notes within a selected scale by double-tapping on the scale ruler. Similarly, double-tapping on the note ruler will play a full octave, aiding in understanding musical intervals.
By leveraging Transruler's functionalities, users can visualize and grasp the complex interplay between various scales and keys, enhancing their music theory comprehension.
The free version of Transruler comes with an advertisement banner and offers access to fundamental scales such as Major, Minor, and Blues. However, upon acquiring an instrument or the editor within the app, users can unlock additional scales and remove the ad banner. These include Major (Pentatonic), Minor (Pentatonic), Minor (Harmonic), Minor (Melodic), Blues Minor, Blues Major, Gypsy Major, Gypsy Minor, Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, and Aeolian.
